I'm a Career Coach who helps executives make radical career changes. I also mentor career coaches on how to build their businesses.
As an Executive Career Coach, I help individuals make friends with change to advance their careers. I challenge them to adopt career-marketing attitudes while accepting responsibility for their own job security.
As a Career Marketing Strategist I mentor beginning career coaches who want to become master marketers to build successful businesses. I taught marketing at Career Coach Institute for 2 years and was an Associate Coach with Milana Leshinsky's "Coaching Millions Program."
Using a pragmatic approach, I support executives as they clarify career values, evaluate their career interests and skills, and develop goal-based action plans for achieving the results they desire. Some clients have called me their "secret weapon" in their job search campaigns!
Services offered include job search management strategies, job interview coaching, career reinvention coaching, and professional resume writing.
My credentials include Master Certified Career Coach and Career Management Fellow. I hold a B.A. from the University of Missouri, and am a graduate of both Career Coach Institute and Corporate Coach University. I have helped people conquer career-related challenges since 1986 as a coach, recruiter, and business developer.
Local news reports on career coaching have featured me on television and in print. I have been quoted in several publications including "The Wall Street Journal," "The Kansas City Star," "Diversity Inc.," and "Sales & Marketing Management Magazine." Monster.com chose me as the executive Career Coach for their 2001 sweepstakes winner.
I serve as an Officer of the Board for the Association of Career Professionals International. Additionally, I am a member of the International Coach Federation, Career Management Alliance, and Instititue of Career Certification International.
What clients say...
"Meg helps you define what is most important in your job search, and helps you seek out the opportunities that fit best into that value system. She cares about her client's success." Chris Duffy, Broadcast Manager (ESPN - Sports Media).
"Meg has a background in recruiting. I needed someone who'd been in the trenches. She is a doer! The kicker was her intuitive skills; I honestly think she had me figured out after our first phone call!" Kevin Travelstead, VP Business Development (Telecommunications).
"I found Meg's greatest strength was listening and providing thoughtful, constructive, leading questions to give me direction and purpose in my (job) search. Often I found myself uttering, 'I never thought of that,' which got me to question what I was really doing. Meg's methods were never judgmental or critical, just insightful to a point to get me to see beyond the end of my face." Rob Megnin, VP Marketing (Hospitality).
"Meg exceeded my expectations of a career coach. It was quite an impressive process to search down deep into my soul and find my passion again. I took the tools she presented and found a position in a new company that fit the career path that I had set for myself." Sharon Robinson, Marketing Communications Manager (U.S. Government Contractor).
